twisted up in your

own

lies

who’s ever going to listen to you?

why would you do the day of silence but not even show support for your own trans brother? seems hypocritical.

You don’t know what it’s like to grow up next to my sibling. Genetically, scientifically, and literally, we have the same brain. We share the same desires and neurotic impulses, and the root cause of her “decision” to become transgender is a severe body image issue. Body hate. We both have it and our reactions are unique. While our insecurity appears to be driving us in opposite directions, the cure can only be acceptance.

I could write an essay on this. Just ask me if you want further explanation.

We are torn between nostalgia for the familiar and an urge for the foreign and strange. As often as not, we are homesick most for the places we have never known.

Carson McCullers, “Look Homeward, Americans”

If you had a million years to do it in, you couldn’t rub out even half the ‘Fuck you’ signs in the world. It’s impossible.
